Catlin Opens Second Australian Office in Melbourne

16 February 2009

SYDNEY - Catlin Group Limited (‘CGL’: London Stock Exchange), the international specialty property/casualty insurer and reinsurer, announces that it has expanded its Australian operations by opening a Melbourne office.

The office is headed by Rory Morison, who has relocated to Melbourne from Catlin's London office where he was a Casualty Underwriter.

The Melbourne-based team will initially specialise in General Liability and General Aviation insurance, as well as acting as a contact point for the other classes of business Catlin currently underwrites in Australia from its existing office in Sydney.

Andrew Case, Director of Catlin Australia, said:

"I am pleased to announce the opening of Catlin's office in Melbourne. This development demonstrates Catlin's commitment to providing Australian policyholders and their brokers with the highest levels of service."

Catlin Australia is part of the Catlin Group’s Asia-Pacific underwriting hub.
