Catlin is committed to protecting your privacy on-line. Our privacy policy explains how we collect information from the catlin.com website ("Site") and what we do with it. By sending your job application to us, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following:
- Catlin (and all its subsidiaries and affiliates) may use
information about you supplied in your job application for the
purposes of recruitment and, if your application is successful, for
employment purposes. Catlin may retain your information for up to
12 months even if you do not take up employment with Catlin. This
is so that we can determine your suitability for other vacancies
and for statistical purposes including equal opportunities
monitoring and evaluation of our recruitment procedures.
- Your information will be controlled and processed by Catlin and
all its subsidiaries and affiliates. Your information will also be
processed on our behalf by the website host, Investis in the course
of hosting the Catlin.com website. We will not disclose personal
information about you to any other third party unless required to
do so by law or regulators.
- We ask for personal information from job applicants to assist
with our recruitment process. The personal information you supply
will be kept in a recruitment folder. Employees involved with
short-listing and appointment will have access to this data. This
could be managers, personnel and departmental support employees. We
will not disclose this information to anyone else outside of
Catlin. If you are unsuccessful, we will usually destroy your
application form and any other papers submitted 12 months after the
appointment has been made. You should send any queries about the
processing of your personal data to the Head of Human
Resources.
- Information on your job application form may be held on manual
or computer systems. We will observe strict confidentiality and
disclosures will only be made for payroll, personnel administration
and statistical purposes.
- Although Catlin takes reasonable steps to ensure the security
of information in its possession, you acknowledge that the Internet
is an open network and a transmission of information over the
Internet is not controlled by Catlin. We have implemented
technologies and security policies to protect the stored personal
information from unauthorised access, improper use, unlawful or
accidental destruction and accidental loss. You have certain rights
under applicable law including the right to access or correct
information. You acknowledge that information given by you is
supplied voluntarily. If you wish to request details about your
personal information or if you want us to delete this information
from our records, please send a written request for the attention
of the Head of Human Resources. We may ask you to provide proof of
your identity so that we can deal with your request. We reserve the
right to refuse to send you details of your personal information if
you do not provide adequate proof of identity.
- In acknowledging an application, Catlin is not verifying the
content, accepting the application or making any offer of
employment or engagement. We are not obliged to accept any
applications
