Catlin has underwritten a financial institutions account for
more than ten years and is an established leading market for this
business.
We underwrite bankers blanket bond and computer crime on a
worldwide basis as well as professional indemnity and directors and
officers insurance mainly outside of North America.
In addition, Catlin writes a worldwide commercial crime book and
a further specialist area is our credit card portfolio offering
protection to financial institutions against card-related
losses.
We write coverage for a diverse range of institutions including
but not limited to commercial and mortgage banks, building
societies, stockbrokers, insurance companies and credit card
companies.
We lead a significant proportion of the portfolio and offer a
very client specific product with individually manuscripted forms
based on detailed knowledge of our clients’ requirements
through visits and meetings. We can offer clients significant
capacity on a per risk basis across all layers of their insurance
programme

Underwriter
Terry started in the insurance industry in 1970 with Eagle Star plc. He joined the Lloyd’s market in 1989 at the RC Barber Syndicate where was deputy underwriter. He joined Independent Insurance Company in 1994, where he was financial institutions underwriting manager, and later joined The Underwriter Insurance Company in a similar role. Terry joined Catlin in December 2003 as a class underwriter.
