Financial Institutions

Catlin has a well established financial institutions account which has been written since 1997 and we are recognized as market leaders for this class of business. The majority of the account is written on a direct or facultative reinsurance basis. We maintain a presence at both the trading floor and Lloyd’s. For Type 2, primary and excess layers are written.

Underwriter

Terry started in the insurance industry in 1970 with Eagle Star plc. He joined the Lloyd’s market in 1989 at the RC Barber Syndicate where was deputy underwriter. He joined Independent Insurance Company in 1994, where he was financial institutions underwriting manager, and later joined The Underwriter Insurance Company in a similar role. Terry joined Catlin in December 2003 as a class underwriter.
