The Catlin Group has established wholly owned offices around the world that allow Catlin to work more closely with local clients and their brokers. These offices, which provide access to the Catlin Syndicate at Lloyd’s and other Catlin Group underwriting platforms, allow Catlin to access business that would not normally be written by the Group.
All of the offices employ local underwriters who can underwrite one or more classes of business from the office. In these instances, the coverage is underwritten using the same systems and standards as used by other Catlin underwriters worldwide.

Registered in Labuan but with a representative office in Kuala Lumpur, Catlin Malaysia serves as an underwriting office for the Catlin Group. Catlin Malaysia was established in September 1999 and is licensed by the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority of Malaysia as an underwriting agent. Catlin Malaysia also supplies administrative services to other Catlin Group offices.
